Egli’s Discount Market to offer delivery service

January 30, 2013
Morning Journal News

SALEM - Egli's Discount Market at 281 W. 4th St. will offer a delivery service beginning Thursday, according to co-owner Evan Egli.

Egli said, "Customers can call into the store at 330-337-3311 and tell us their grocery list.

"We will put the order together and call them back with a final total. Then we will deliver it to the house."

Egli said the service is for anyone and delivery will be limited to Perry Township for now.

""We're looking to expand it later," he said, "depending on interest."

Delivery times will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day, Monday through Saturday as the store is closed on Sundays.

Egli said the service came about after they posted the idea on the business Facebook page.

"The response was really good," he said. "They responded."

Customers will be asked the method of payment when the order is made, Egli said.

"We will deliver anywhere in Perry Township with a $3 delivery charge and a $12 minimum order.

Egli's Discount Market has added Walnut Creek food items, fresh produce and Dairymen's milk products and will add Hersey ice cream products at the end of February or or in early March.
