Home invasion involves assault

Morning Journal News

EAST LIVERPOOL - Two armed men entered a home in Liverpool Township Tuesday morning, assaulting two residents and stealing money before fleeing on foot.

Township police said Nicole Fecuich, 823 Hollywood Ave., called at 11:03 a.m. to report two black men had come into the home armed with handguns and had begun fighting with two men who live there.

The men are father and son, according to police, who said no shots were fired but the two men were transported to the hospital afterward by a family member with non-life-threatening injuries.

After the struggle, the two intruders stole an undisclosed amount of money then fled in an undetermined direction on foot, police said.

The home is located in the East End area near Dewey Avenue.

Lieutenant Justin Wright said the men are to be considered armed and dangerous, and asked that anyone with any information contact the police department.

City police are also investigating a home invasion on Dresden Avenue last week in which a Michigan man was shot in the hand.
