Charles McKnight

Leetonia, OH - Charles G. McKnight, 86, of State Route 558, died at 8:28 pm Friday, January 18, 2013 at Essex II of Salem surrounded by his family.

Mr. McKnight was born February 14, 1926 in New Waterford, a son of the late Floyd and Margaret Metze Mulch and had lived in this area all of his life.

He was a truck driver and had worked for the Kenmar Division of Ethan Allen in East Palestine and Columbiana Storage and Warehouse. Charles also worked for Ballanoff's in Columbiana for several years. He served in the US Navy during World War II. He is survived by a brother, Robert (Janice) Mulch of East Palestine; two sisters, Lois Sutherin of Lisbon and Louise Pegg of Leetonia; ten nephews and two nieces; and many great nieces and great nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 8:00 pm Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana with Angel Beverly officiating. Military honors will be accorded by the Benjamin Firestone Post #290 Honor Guard following the service. Friends may call from 6-8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Crest Haven Memorial Gardens.
