LOWELLVILLE - Leading by six entering the fourth quarter, Southern let one slip away Tuesday as Lowellville tied things up before the end of regulation and won 62-57 in overtime.
The visiting Indians were outscored 24-13 in the fourth quarter and overtime.
Luke Griffith, who hit four three-pointers, tallied a game-high 23 points for Southern, which drops to 7-4 overall. Kyler Woodward added 12 points and 9 rebounds for the locals, JJ Napierkowski had 8 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists, and Jared Shilot added 9 points and 3 blocks.
In JV play, Lowellville was a 44-41 winner. For Southern (9-2), Aaron Sevek scored 11 and Christian Adkins added 10.
Lowellville plays Friday at home against Sebring.
