Leetonia 47, Wellsville 25

WELLSVILLE - The Bears ran past the Tigers.

Nicole Mann netted a game-high 23 points leading the Leetonia girls' basketball team to a 47-25 victory Monday night at Wellsville.

Amanda Coles contributed a team-high six points to lead the way for Wellsville (2-5, 1-2).

Coles also pulled down six rebounds.

The Tigers won the JV game, 42-23.

Destiny Crow contributed 16 points to lead the way for the Tigers.

Wellsville plays Wednesday at Toronto.

SALINEVILLE - The Blue Devils downed the Indians.

Tory White tallied 11 points to lead the Western Reserve girls' basketball team to a 47-41 victory Monday at Southern Local.

Rachel Coil contributed 15 points and 11 rebounds for the Indians, while Kati Hipsley collected 11 points three assists and seven steals.

The Blue Devils won the JV game, 45-9.

Southern plays Thursday at Columbiana.

Potters down Monarchs

MOUNDSVILLE - The Potters came out victorious.

The East Liverpool freshmen boys' basketball team recorded a 63-19 victory Monday at John Marshall.

For the Potters (2-1), Briar Meek contributed 17 points, and Devon Zubay netted 12.

East Liverpool plays Wednesday at Big Red.

Blue Devils sweep Bears

LISBON - The Blue Devils swept the Bears.

The Lisbon 7th and 8th grade boys' basketball teams earned a sweep Monday night against visiting Leetonia.

The Blue Devils won the 7th grade game, 34-17.

Branson Brownfield netted a game-high 10 points to lead the way for the Blue Devils. Damon Cluster recorded five points to lead the way for the Bears.

Lisbon won the 8th grade game, 57-28.

For the Blue Devils, Colin Sweeney and Jason Thompson each tallied 14 points, and Jake Liberati recorded 10 points.

Isaac Stecker contributed a game-high 16 points to lead the way for the Bears.

Lisbon's next game is Wednesday at East Palestine.

Tigers down Rockets

WELLSVILLE - The Tigers took down the Rockets.

The Wellsville 7th and 8th grade boys' basketball teams earned a sweep Monday against visiting Lowellville.

The Tigers won the 7th grade game, 34-25.

Andre Sloan netted 11 points for Wellsville (5-0), and Brandon Bennett collected eight points.

Wellsville won the 8th grade game, 40-29.

Justin Miller recorded 14 points for the Tigers (4-1), and Bradley Cline tallied eight points.

Wellsville plays Wednesday at Jackson-Milton.

Beavers split with Panthers

CALCUTTA - The Beaver Local 7th and 8th grade boys' basketball teams earned a split Monday against visiting Buckeye Local.

The Beavers won the 7th grade game, 35-29.

Drew Theiss scored 12 points to lead the way for Beaver Local.

The Panthers won the 8th grade game, 42-30.

Matthew Carducci contributed a game-high 14 points to lead the way for Buckeye Local. Drew McCoy collected eight points to lead the way for Beaver Local (0-5).

Beaver Local plays Wednesday at home against East Liverpool.

Golden Bears sweep Red Riders

WEIRTON - The Golden Bears swept the Red Riders.

The Oak Glen 7th and 8th grade girls' basketball teams earned a sweep Monday at Weir.

The Golden Bears won the 7th grade game, 19-16.

For Oak Glen (5-0), Brooke Reed delivered 11 points, and Emmy Severs scored four points.

Oak Glen won the 8th grade game, 32-23.

Maisie Witherow recorded 11 points, and Hannah Clunk contributed six points for the Golden Bears.

Oak Glen plays Wednesday at Harrison Central.

Clippers sink Indians

SALINEVILLE - The Clippers sunk the Indians.

The Columbiana 7th and 8th grade girls' basketball teams swept Southern Local Monday.

The Clippers won the 7th grade game, 43-17.

Natalie May tallied six points to lead the way for the Indians.

Columbiana won the 8th grade game, 38-34.

Anna Sevek scored 28 points to lead the way for Southern.
