SALEM - Bill Barton of Salem, formerly of Lisbon, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012.
Mr. Barton was born in Lisbon, Ohio on December 21, 1953, a son of the late Paul and Stella (Clark) Barton; he was a graduate of David Anderson High School, a Navy veteran and a lifetime member of Salem Amvets. Bill retired from Colfor Mfg. He enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing, fishing and BBQing.
Survivors include his wife, Julia (Metzgar) Barton of Salem, stepson Samuel Entrikin of Leetonia, stepdaughters Brandi Modrak of Canton and Victoria Modrak of Portland, Oregon, and four grandchildren. Two brothers, David (Buck) Barton of Salem, James Barton of Guilford Lake and three sisters, Sandra Schnader of Salem, Kathy Barton of Salem and Carrie Barton (Rich Courtney) of Salem.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, Dec. 21 at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Salem with Pastor Kathy Barton officiating.
