Cleaning up after accident

December 15, 2012
Morning Journal News

Salem Firefighter Brandon Lucas sweeps up the area where this westbound Dodge Dakota pickup struck a tree and was struck by an eastbound GMC Yukon on East State Street near Smith Oil and the St. Paul Church property at 1:12 p.m. Friday. The driver of the pickup, Jay Frantz, 23, of Buck Road, Salem, was cited for failure to control and refused treatment for minor injuries. The report said he bent over to check his gear shift lever and traveled left of center. Kathleen Wilk, 66, of North Market Street, Lisbon, was driving east and tried to avoid the pickup, but struck it in the side. She was not injured. (Salem News photo by J.D. Creer)
