Kristy Lynn Foster marries Kurt Seachrist

EAST PALESTINE - Kristy Lynn Foster and Kurt Seachrist were joined in marriage Sept. 29 at the bride's family farm in East Palestine.

The bride is the daughter of Glen and Sherl Foster, East Palestine.

The groom is the son of Sherry Seachrist, Lisbon; and the late Wayne Seachrist.

The Rev. Randy Clark, of Union Ridge Bible Baptist Church, officiated the 3:30 p.m. double ring ceremony.

Music was provided by flute soloist Sue Kariher. The bridal party entered on a wagon pulled by a team of Percherons driven by Jake Whitehead. Guests were seated on straw bales produced on the Foster Family farm.

Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore an ivory strapless floor length A-line dress with a peek-a-boo sweetheart neckline. The waist was adorned with silver beading and sequins, while the bodice featured beadwork and lace silver embroidery appliques sewn onto the netting. A rhinestone comb secured her fingertip length veil decorated with pearls, beading, silver threading and a scalloped edge. She carried a handwrapped bouquet with Arabel Gerbra daisies, caspia, varigated pittosporum, orange daisies and wheat grown by the her brothers. It was tied with a horse cameo broche satin and burlap bow.

Samantha McCombs served as maid of honor in a short, v-neck peacock colored dress. In a floor length peacock color dress featuring a strap and bow on one shoulder was bridesmaid Kaylee Shafer, niece of the bride. Flower girls were Maddison Foster, Taylor Foster and Riley Foster, nieces of the bride.

Performing the duties of the best man was Mason Seachrist, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were G.W. and John Foster, brothers of the bride. Grant Seachrist, nephew of the groom, served as ring bearer.

A reception for 250 guests followed on the bride's family farm.

A rehearsal dinner, hosted by the groom's mother, was held at Bojangle's Restaurant, New Waterford.

The groom is employed by Columbiana Public Works.

The bride is employed as a reporter at the Farm and Dairy newspaper in Salem.

Following a honeymoon in Kentucky, the couple reside in Lisbon.
