Mini-coin show, watch battery giveaway in Sebring

December 6, 2012
Morning Journal News

SEBRING - Sebring Antiques & Vintage Jewelry will be holding a mini-coin show and watch battery giveaway from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Dec. 12.

Roy and Marisa Fink said the watch battery giveaway is a way to give back to the community.

The store, located at 236 N. 15th St. in Sebring, opened Oct. 5 and held an open house on Nov. 10-11.

Roy Fink said customers can bring in two watches and he will replace the batteries for free. "Watches, particularly quartz," he said, "the newer ones."

"While the batteries last," he said, adding he has a large supply of disc batteries for wrist or pocket watches.

Gordy Muckler, a Stow resident and coin expert, will be available to appraise, buy and sell coins, Fink said.

"He's a really honest coin dealer," Fink said, explaining he has known Muckler for years.

He will provide free appraisals for customers wanting information about coins they bring in.

Fink said Sebring Antiques and Vintage Jewelry will also be buying and selling antique jewelry.

The business has a large inventory with thousands of pieces of antique costume jewelry like Fenton glass pieces, sterling silver items, vintage signs and "a lot of collectibles, advertising and lighting," Roy Fink said, adding there are also Civil War-era items.

Marisa said, "We probably have the largest selection of anyone in the area. I can assure you, no one has as much jewelry."
