EAST LIVERPOOL - Officers responding Thursday afternoon to what was reported as a pedestrian struck by a vehicle on Rubicon Street found what was actually a domestic dispute that sent one woman by helicopter to Pittsburgh.

According to police, witnesses advised Hollie C. Reese, 22, was in an altercation with the father of her children on Rubicon Street and was seen hanging on the trunk of a silver-colored vehicle.

Detectives said the vehicle drove at least three blocks with Reese hanging on the back, through yards and alleys, driving in an "S" pattern in an apparent attempt to dislodge her.

Finally, the vehicle emerged onto Anderson Boulevard, where Reese was thrown off. Her jeans and shoes were found lying in the driveway at the Rubicon address where the dispute began.

Lifeteam ambulance was called and transported Reese to East Liverpool City Hospital, from which she was then flown to a Pittsburgh hospital.

Although she did not tell officers the name of the man involved, detectives indicated they believe it was a 26-year-old man from Columbus.

The investigation is continuing.
