After reading the article covering the Leetonia Village Council meeting in the Nov. 25, 2012 issue of the Morning Journal, I wish to comment on some of the article's comments.
I did not "reportedly" attend the meeting representing anyone other than myself.
It was stated in the article that "Raneri did not like the fact that he would have to take responsibility for that property instead of the tenants and did not want the zoning inspector to come to him with zoning violations."
What I said was that the zoning officer has my permission to come on to my property, but it is up to the tenants to let him in. It should not be my responsibility to make arrangements with my tenants to let the zoning officer into their apartments.
I have owned property in Leetonia for over 15 years, and have always taken care of my property and will continue to do so.
Perhaps, in the future, your reporter will be more careful when making assumptions about why someone is attending a meeting and quote accurately what is being said.
