LISBON - Lisbon's Christmas Parade will be 11 a.m. Saturday, with this year's theme being "Home for the Holidays."
Following the parade, Santa Claus will be on hand in the gazebo handing out treats to children, with a photographer on hand for those who wish to get their photograph taken with the Jolly Old Elf. There will be special mail box available for children wishing to mail their Christmas letters to the North Pole.
The Lisbon High School Chorus will in the village square singing Christmas carols, and a wagon donated by Stoneridge Terrace KOA Campground will provide free rides around the village.
Many of the downtown business are holding open houses during the day to coincide with national event urging everyone to do their Christmas shopping at their hometown small businesses on Saturday.
The Barborak Law Office will be serving hot chocolate and the Lisbon Assembly of God will offer face painting. The Family and Community Resource Center will be accepting toys and doing a live broadcast from noon to 2 p.m. on Y-103. They will also be doing Operation Kidsafe digital fingerprinting for children.
