EAST PALESTINE - An East Palestine man was killed early Sunday in a one-vehicle accident that ended in a shallow creek.
According to the highway patrol, Taylor D. Bilbo, 20, was pronounced dead at the scene by a county coroner's investigator.
According to the patrol, Bilbo was eastbound at a high rate of speed on state Route 558 just south of state Route 46 in Unity Township at 4:43 a.m. and lost control of the 2007 Chevy 1500 and went off the right side of the road, struck a sign, a ditch and then became airborne.
Bilbo was ejected from the truck when it overturned, struck a tree and came to rest in the creek, the patrol said.
New Waterford police and East Palestine fire/EMS also responded.
