SALEM - An Ohio Lottery Rolling Cash 5 record $1.1 million jackpot was claimed Friday night after the numbers 10, 13, 29, 32 and 37 were drawn.

Where the ticket or tickets were sold was unavailable at press time.

The game reached an all-time high jackpot of $1,108,000 after rolling over 17 times.

The previous record Rolling Cash 5 jackpot was $876,000 in Jan. 2, 2007.

Friday's jackpot reset began rolling after Oct. 30 when Meat City in Lima sold one winning ticket.

That ticket has not been claimed.

Since then the jackpot has rolled 17 times making Friday's Rolling Cash 5 game the highest jackpot since the game began selling on Oct. 3, 2004.

"Usually when it's growing, that's when people take notice," said Marie Kilbane, a lottery spokesperson.

Before Rolling Cash 5, the game was called Buckeye 5, but that game used a five of 37 format.

Rolling Cash 5 uses a five of 39 format, according Kilbane.

The jackpot begins at $100,000 and rolls until someone hits. The odds of winning the Rolling Cash 5 jackpot are 1 in 575,757.

Those odds of hitting five numbers are the best for hitting the top prize in the lottery, Kilbane said.

Players can also win by matching four, three or two numbers.

Kilbane said there is a 62-63 percent payout in Rolling Cash 5.

Mike and Karen Popovec of Canfield won $539,000 on the May 5, 2012 Rolling Cash Jackpot, one of the biggest in game history.

Kilbane also noted the drawing time for the game changed from 7:30 p.m. to 7:05 p.m. to accommodate adding time for the new Pick 5 game that began selling on Aug. 12.

"The Rolling Cash 5 drawing pool closes at 7 p.m.," she said.
