COLUMBUS - Some local football players received another award Thursday night.
Eleven local players were honored with spots on the 2012 Associated Press All-Northeast Inland District teams.
The local players honored competed in Division V and in Division VI.

Players from Southern Local, Lisbon and East Palestine were honored in Division V. Players from Wellsville were honored in Division VI.
Nine of the 11 local players honored are from schools in Division V.
The Indians led the area in players honored in Division V. All told, five Indians were award spots on the All-Northeast Inland District teams.
Three of the five honored players were named First Team All-Northeast Inland District.
Two of the three players are seniors. Quarterback Luke Griffith and kicker Steven Treadway were both named to the first team for Southern. Junior wide receiver Jared Shilot also received the honor for the Indians.
Griffith was the area's leading passer. Griffith completed 157 of 259 attempts for 2,170 yards and 18 touchdowns. Griffith also ran for 183 yards and four more touchdowns.
Shilot hauled in 52 catches for 920 yards and eight touchdowns.
Treadway converted 35 extra points, and he made four field goals. He finished the season with 47 points to lead all kickers.
Also for Southern, running back Mike McKenzie and wide receiver J.J. Napierkowski were both named Honorable Mention All-Northeast Inland District.
McKenzie led the area with 1,268 yards on the ground on 161 carries. McKenzie scored 15 touchdowns. McKenzie also caught nine passes for 125 yards and a touchdown.
Napierkowski caught 71 passes for 883 yards. He also scored eight touchdowns.
Southern Local finished the season with a record of 6-4 under the guidance of third-year head coach Mike Skrinjar.
The Blue Devils and the Bulldogs also each had two players named honorable mention. Brandon Barnes and Zak Leko were honored for Lisbon.
Barnes finished second in the area in rushing with 1,170 yards and 14 touchdowns on 198 carries.
Leko rushed for 1,008 and seven scores on 156 carries. Only McKenzie and Barnes finished the season with more rushing yards than Barnes.
Derek Smith and Nick Monteleone were honored for East Palestine.
Smith rushed for 643 yards and eight touchdowns. Smith added eight receptions for 81 yards.
Monteleone caught 35 passes for 568 yards and four touchdowns.
In Division VI, the Tigers had one player named to the first team, and they had one player named honorable mention.
Senior defensive lineman Seth Martin was named First Team All-Northeast Inland District for the Tigers. Running back Marcus Moxley was named honorable mention.
Moxley ran for 923 yards and nine touchdowns on 126 carries for head coach Dave Skinner's Tigers. Moxley also hauled in eight passes for 63 yards.
