EAST PALESTINE - Arlene C. Sorrell, 58, of West Clark Street, passed away at 2:35 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012 following a lengthy illness, at Essex I of Salem where she had been a patient.
Arlene was born July 23, 1954 in Salem, a daughter of the late Wayne and Mildred Coffman Benjamin and had resided in East Palestine since 1985, previously living in Lisbon and New Waterford. She had been employed as a decaler with the former Kingwood Ceramics.
Her husband, Floyd E. Sorrell, Sr., whom she married March 20, 1973, survives her as does a son, Floyd E. (Tammy) Sorrell, Jr., Enon Valley, Pa.; a brother, Dean (Laura) Benjamin, Calcutta, two sisters, Elaine (Ed) Hostetter, Columbiana, and her twin sister, Darlene (Rex) Catron, Lisbon. Four granddaughters, Rachel, Reagan, Victoria and Rose, also survive her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two infant sons and a brother, Dale Benjamin.
A celebration of her life will be from 4-8 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, at the home of her son, 342 Enon Road, Enon Valley, Pa.
