One injured in Salem

November 9, 2012
Morning Journal News

A tow truck driver prepares to haul away a damaged Honda Accord after a two-vehicle accident on East State Street just before noon Thursday left the passenger injured. Edward Glista, 84, of South Range Road, Salem, was transported by ambulance to Salem Community Hospital with minor injuries. Jennifer Varcony, 29, of Southern Avenue, Columbiana, was cited for failure to yield after she pulled her Chevy Silverado out of the Farmer's National Bank parking lot while making a right turn, thinking she had room to clear the oncoming traffic, and struck the right side of the westbound Honda driven by Joyce Glista, 78, of South Range Road, Salem. The Salem Fire Department responded to extricate the passenger. (Salem News photo by Mary Ann Greier)
