Roundball club to meet today

EAST LIVERPOOL There will be a East Liverpool Rebound Club meeting at 6 p.m. today in the ELHS Fieldhouse conference room, primarily to plan for the Prime Time event Nov. 21. All boys basketball boosters are welcome.

Touchdown club sponsoring banquet

WELLSVILLE - The Wellsville Touchdown Club is sponsoring the football banquet at 6 p.m. Monday in the high school audeteria. Tickets are $10 at the door.

Potters' selling boys' basketball tickets

EAST LIVERPOOL - Tickets for the East Liverpool boys' basketball 2012-2013 season will be on sale from 5-7 p.m. Monday at the Fieldhouse ticket office through Friday and during Potter Primetime on Nov. 21. The cost of the package is $35 if it is purchased on one of these dates.

Basketball skill clinic being held Tuesday

WHEELING - The Cancer Research Classic is a holiday high school basketball tournament played in Wheeling that raises money for cancer research. It's becoming one of the bigger events of its kind in the country. ESPN will again be carrying some of the games on national TV. The Classic is offering a skill development clinic for middle and high school coaches, players, parents and athletic directors Tuesday designed to help educate them on skill development for college basketball. The clinic is free for OVAC schools (athletic directors, coaches, etc.), athletes, and families. Particular topics include: concepts of learning & training necessary physical skills, mental toughness, college coaches expectations, player expectations, transition to college basketball, recruitment insight and NCAA academic requirements. Youth basketball tournament being held

MARTINS FERRY - The Martins Ferry Basketball Parents will once again be sponsoring a youth basketball shootout the weekend of March 1-3, 2013 for 5th and 6th grade boys and girls teams. All teams will be guaranteed three games, with a possibility of a fourth game depending on the number of teams. The entry fee will be $75. Games will be held at Martins Ferry High School with onsite parking and concessions available. Final turkey shoot being held Sunday

CHESTER - The Chester-Newell Sportsmen Club will be holding its final turkey shoot beginning at 10 a.m. Sunday. The cost is $2 per shot Lucky X and $5 per shot for the money shoots. Factory guns and tubes only. There will be cash, meat, novelty & 50/50 shoots. Kids and ladies are welcome. The kitchen will be open. Volleyball Club holding tryouts

WARREN - The East Ohio Volleyball?Club is holding tryouts Sunday and Nov. 18 at the Warren YMCA. Players in grades 6-8 will try out from 1-3 p.m. Players in grades 9-12 will try out from 3-5 p.m. Players in any grade will try out from 5-6 p.m. For information, call 330-219-1368 or visit www.eovc.org.
