Daniel Imhoff

HANOVERTON - Daniel A. Imhoff Sr., age 63, of Hanoverton passed away at his residence Oct. 28, 2012.

He was born Sept. 11, 1949 at Aultman Hospital in Canton to the late Eugene A. and Ann Elizabeth (Mills) Imhoff.

Dan was a member of Trinity Friends Church in Lisbon, Ohio. He was a United Local graduate. He has a bachelor's degree in education and a master's of science in education and had a secondary in principalship.

He started working for Loudon Ford in Salem, which later became Donnell Ford for the past 11 years. He retired from United Local High School where he was the Industrial Arts Teacher. He also worked for Alliance City Schools. Dan was a police officer for the village of Hanoverton. He was also a park ranger at Guilford Lake State Park.

Dan was a Vietnam veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy for four years.

Dan enjoyed hunting, fishing, four-wheeling, camping, woodworking, working on his cars and riding on his motorcycles.

Survivors include two sons, Eugene A. Imhoff of Columbus, Ohio and Daniel A. Imhoff, Jr. of San Diego, Calif.: two sisters, Sally Ann (Patrick) O'Shell of Minerva and Nancy Elizabeth (William) Helman of Hanoverton: and two brothers, Gary E. Imhoff of Columbiana and Samuel M. (Linda) Imhoff of Salem.

Preceding him in death were two children, Ryan and Julie Imhoff.

Calling hours will be 5-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, 2012 at Maple Cotton Funeral Home in Kensington, Ohio, and 10-11 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Friends Church, located between Hanoverton and Lisbon on U.S. Route 30.

Funeral service will be at Trinity Friends Church at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012 with Pastor Richard Jones officiating. Burial will follow at East Lawn Cemetery in Minerva, where military services will be performed by the DAV American Legion and VFW.

Donations may be given to Trinity Friends Church.
