Morning Journal News
This photo captured by Lisbon Street resident John Smith shows the flames that greeted firefighters responding to a truck fire just past his home Tuesday afternoon. Propane and oxygen tanks in the bed of the truck owned by Willard Miller, Maple Avenue, ignited after the truck caught fire as he was traveling in the area commonly known as 'Junkyard Bend' in Liverpool Township. Liverpool Township fire Chief Mike Bahen said the flames actually burned overhead wires, and another neighbor said they were shooting 30-40 feet in the air when she called the fire department.
