Most people think that a visit to the cemetery is filled with sadness, but for me, it is the opposite.
I have lived in Lisbon all my life,and many of my family and friend are laid to rest in our Lisbon Cemetery. I visit there often, and now realize how blessed we are to have such a well-kept, beautiful memorial for our loved ones. I leave there with a sense of peace and serenity.
I am well aware that in order to continue this current level of care, the 3-mill renewal levy must pass. I am content knowing that someday the Lisbon Cemetery will be my final resting place. Please vote Nov. 6.
