COLUMBUS - The top two scoring teams in the area will play in the Inter-Tri County League championship game on Friday.
Crestview, ranked fifth in the Associated Press Division V high school football state poll released Monday, will be going for its first unbeaten regular season when the Rebels host South Range.
The Rebels, who are 9-0 overall and 6-0 in the ITCL upper tier, are averaging 56.2 points and 462 total yards a game.
Crestview has scored 63 points in three straight games and more than 30 points in every game this season.
South Range has reeled off seven straight wins after losing their first two of the season. The Raiders, averaging 42.7 points during their winning streak, are 6-0 in league play.
The top eight teams in Division V are unbeaten, including top-ranked Coldwater, second-ranked Kirtland, third-ranked Lima Central Catholic and fourth-ranked Sugarcreek Garaway.
Louisville St. Thomas Aquinas (8-1) is ranked ninth and Youngstown Ursuline (6-3) is 10th.
Marlington dropped from first to sixth in the Division III state ranking after suffering its first loss, a stunning 35-14 decision to West Branch on Friday.
Marlington and West Branch are both 5-1 in the Northeastern Buckeye Conference and can gain a share of the league title with wins this Friday - Marlington visits Alliance and West Branch entertains Salem.
