HUBBARD - Larry Scott and Darnell Tate stole the show for the Hubbard Eagles on Friday in their 48-19 win over visiting Beaver Local.
Scott scored four rushing touchdowns (5-, 6-, 35- and 42-yards) and totaled 156 yards, while Tate returned an Austin Brooks interception 39 yards for a score to go along with a 42-yard rushing touchdown.
The win moves the Eagles to 6-3 on the season, while Beaver Local falls to 2-7.
Hubbard opened a 20-0 lead after one quarter of play and extended its advantage to 48-0 at the break.
Beaver Local's Andrew Travis scored the team's lone first half score on a 22-yard fumble recovery set up by a Dan Lattanzio hit.
Both of the Beavers' second-half touchdowns came in the fourth quarter.
The first was a 48-yard reception by Bryce McKenzie on a pass from Trevore McLaughlin.
The second came by way of a two-yard run by Kole McKenzie with just 32 seconds left to play.
Hayden Grafton led the Beavers with 72 yards rushing on five carries, while Lattanzio gained 48 stripes on nine attempts.
Brooks finished 1-of-9 for zero yards and an interception, while McLaughlin was 3-of-4 for 62 yards and a score.
The Beavers will finish out the season at home next week against Poland.
