Candidates will square off in Morning Journal forum

LISBON - The Morning Journal/WKBN 27 FirstNews-Fox 62 candidates' forum is set for Wednesday evening in the Lisbon David Anderson High School auditorium.

The forum will feature candidates from the county's contested races. The debates will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. in the auditorium of David Anderson High School in Lisbon.

Morning Journal Publisher Larry Dorschner will serve as master of ceremonies and Teresa Weakley, the co-anchor of Channel 27 FirstNews and Fox 17/62 will serve as moderator. Posing the questions will be Dorma J. Tolson, Morning Journal editor, and Lori McIntosh, Journal advertising manager.

Candidates for Congress, state representative, county commissioner, sheriff, treasurer and recorder have been invited.

Those candidates who have indicated that they will be attending are:

Charlie Wilson, Congress.

Nick Barborak and Craig Newbold, state representative.

Linda Bolon and Eldena Gearhart, treasurer.

Theresa Bosel and Brenda Dickey Myers, recorder.

John Wargo, Tim Weigle and John Payne, county commissioner Jan. 2 term.

Joe Csonka and Jim Hoppel, Jan. 3 term.

John Soldano and Ray Stone, sheriff.

Questions submitted by our readers will be posed to the candidates. All questions must be submitted by Monday and can be sent via email to news@mojonews.com or through the Virtual Newsroom on our website www.morningjournalnews.com.

Be sure to include the name of the candidate you intend to answer your question.
