COLUMBUS - Crestview's football season is shaping up to be one for the record books.
The Rebels are averaging 55.4 points and 461 toal yards a game as they make a run at their first unbeaten regular season.
Crestview is 8-0 and remains fourth in the latest Associated Press Division V high school football released Monday.
"The more I think about it as the season comes to an end, the more I think it's a compliment to not only the players playing now, but all of the guys who have come before," Crestview coach Paul Cusick said. "It took all of those people - including my coaching staff - to carry on that success year after year."
Cusick has guided the Rebels to at least seven victories in nine straight seasons.
Crestview is tied for the Inter-Tri County League upper tier lead with South Range heading into this Friday's game at East Palestine.
