STEUBENVILLE - Former president Bill Clinton is slated to appear in Steubenville Thursday to encourage support for Barack Obama, officials with the Obama Campaign announced Saturday.
Campaign officials said details of Clinton's visit, including the time and location, are forthcoming.
Clinton's visit will follow an appearance at a rally Thursday in Parma, Ohio.
Rock singer Bruce Springsteen is set to appear at the same rally as well as a campaign event in Ames, Iowa that day.
Clinton and Springsteen's joint appearances underscores Ohio's importance as a key swing state. Polls show Obama with a slight lead here over Mitt Romney, but the Republican presidential candidate is spending an increasing amount of time and resources in Ohio before Election Day.
