Editor:
Although good intentioned, Thursday's Roasts and Toasts admonished drivers that slow down or stop for the blinking yellow lights that have replaced the regular street lights in East Liverpool.
I agree except for one small problem: On two occasions, had I not been ready to stop I would either have hit the car that pulled out in front of me or been T-boned by the car which had the red light. People new to the area cannot guess what the lights are doing if they can't see them.
Forgive me if I'm a little apprehensive about driving down the street and assuming that the other people will know that I have the yellow light. I would rather make someone mad behind me than get hit broadside.
