Columbiana County Sheriff's deputies are investigating a home invasion, which reportedly happened in a home just outside of New Waterford Tuesday afternoon.

A 13-year-old Timber Run Street, New Waterford, boy reported at 4:40 p.m. Tuesday he came home from school and found a man hiding in the bathroom shower.

According to his report to deputies, he was walking past the bathroom when a man jumped out at him and slammed him against the hallway closet door by grabbing him by the face. The man reportedly was squeezing the boy's face when he kneed the man in the groin. The man threatened to kill him before fleeing.

The man was described as 6 foot tall with brown eyes wearing light-colored jeans, a black zip-up hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled up over his head. He also was wearing gloves similar to those used by people serving food.

The man ran out the patio door and through the backyard toward Macklin Road. Nothing was reported missing from the home.
