Bowling league results announced

EAST LIVERPOOL - Pin Ups (11-5) leads the standings of the Walnut Ladies Bowling League at Walnut Lanes. Sparks Auto Care is 9.5-6.5, Alley Angels and Flaming Balls are both 9-7 and Ridge Runners are 8.5-7.5. Strikers (7.5-8.5) and Bowling Buddies (5.5-10.5) round out the standings. Individually, Deb Radeschi bowled a high game of 177 with a series of 497, Michelle Woodyard bowled a high game of 180 with a series of 487 and Jane Rudibaugh bowled a high game of 170 with a series of 460. Also, Denise Lamp bowled a high game of 186, and Frieda Kloetzly bowled a high game of 180.

Tennis league results announced

BOARDMAN - East Liverpool's Sutton Stacey won twice for the Silver Team in Boardman Tennis Center Fall Jr. Team Tennis action. Silver defeated Green, 5.5-4.5. Silver leads the team standings in Tier 1.

Mixed doubles tennis league forming

BOARDMAN - A high-level Mixed Doubles Tennis League will begin Wednesday at the Boardman Tennis Center. The league will be held from 7:30-9:30 p.m. on Sunday night. Non-members as well club members will be accepted into the league. Players must be high-level high school players or tournament players. The league will run to mid-December. Last fall's top finishers were Dan Barton-Allie Pavlansky of Canfield, Nick Debiec/Gabby Bryant of Canfield and David Bennett (Chester) and Arina Kravitz (Boardman). Potter Mites holding wrestling sign ups

EAST LIVERPOOL - Potter Mite Wrestling sign ups will be held from 7-8 p.m. Wednesday at Dunham Sports and from 7-8 p.m. Oct. 24th at the East Liverpool High School wrestling room. Registration is $35. For information, contact Shawna Spencer at 330-386-8591 or Amber Wright at 330-962-9845.

Tiger Mites holding wrestling sign ups

WELLSVILLE - Tiger Mite wrestling will be holding sign ups from 6-8 p.m. Oct. 22 and 29 at the wellsville Pizza Hut. Sign ups for wrestlers ages 5-12. The cost to register is $30. For information, contact Coach Charles Fisher at 330-843-8652.

Beaver Local selling football tickets

CALCUTTA -Beaver Local High School and Middle School are selling pre-sale football tickets for Beaver Local's Friday night game at home against Claymont. Tickets can also be purchased at 7 & 30 Superette as well at Campbell Signs. The cost is $5 for adults and $ for students and senior citizens.

EL Rebound Club pasta dinner Friday

EAST LIVERPOOL - The East Liverpool Rebound Club will host a pasta dinner fundraiser from 5-7 p.m. Friday in the Westgate cafeteria before the East Liverpool-Oak Glen football game. Cost is $6 and includes pasta, salad, roll, dessert and drink. Carryout is available. Proceeds benefit ELHS boys basketball program.

Registration set for Seacats swim team

STRATTON - Stratton Seacats winter swim team sign ups will be held from 6-7 p.m. Friday and Oct. 26 at the Stratton indoor pool. Bring swim suit for swim test, insurance and emergency contact information with you. Ages 5 up to age 18 are welcome to participate. Fans asked to bring food items to game

WELLSVILLE - The Wellsville Touchdown Club asks that anyone attending Friday's football game with McDonald to bring a non-perishable food donation. The Harvest House of Wellsville will be collecting the food at the gates. Fans are asked to help those in need as the holiday seasons approach.

Basketball league meeting being held

GLENMOOR - The George Jones Youth Basketball League, formerly the East Liverpool Youyth Christian Basketball League, will be holding a meeting at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Glenmoor Presbyterian Church. Wellsville painted Tiger paws for sale

WELLSVILLE - The Wellsville Touchdown Club will be selling "Tiger Paws" painted on your sidewalk. They are bright orange 18"x18". All proceeds will help support the Daw Middle School and Wellsville High School football players. The cost of each paw is $10. CHESTER - The Chester-Newell Sportsmen Club is having Turkey Shoots at 10 a.m. on Sundays through Nov. 11. Cost per shot is $2, lucky X and $5 per shot money shoots. Factory guns and tubes only.
