iPhone app gives readers another way to stay informed

Morning Journal News

EAST LIVERPOOL - For generations, The Review has provided a comprehensive daily report of happenings in the tri-state area.

Adding an Apple OS application to ways reader can get their news is the latest media the newspaper is using to reach readers when and where they want their news.

The App joins the printed newspaper and as ways you can get your news. All three are unique products, providing both news and special features that are unique to the media.

The huge popularity of the Apple iPhone and iPad pushed us to develop the app for them first. The combine traffic that our website gets from the two devices is far more than from all other mobile devices combined. All mobile users, including those on Apple devices still will be able to access our site using a web browser. Content to our main site, our mobile site located at and to our new app is updated daily.

Visiting our website with any device running the Apple OS system will trigger a screen urging readers to download the app. You also can search for "The Review" in the app store. You can also visit and be redirected to the correct site.

Users of our mobile app will receive breaking news alerts, the day's top news and sports stories, along with being able to write comments and vote in our daily polls and search for articles.

"Our commitment to the tri-state area has remained solid for the past 133 years, and with the release of our new mobile app, we will continue that commitment by satisfying the changing needs of local readers," said Publisher Tammie McIntosh.
