EAST LIVERPOOL - Ann Boggess, of Cannons Mills Road in East Liverpool, passed away at Omni Manor in Youngstown at 9:50 p.m. Friday evening, September 28, 2012. She was 78.
Born in Gooserock, KY on April 29, 1934, she was a daughter of the late David "Lawrence" Howard and Exie Wagers Howard. She had moved to East Liverpool as a young girl and remained here for the rest of her life.
A homemaker, she was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Crystal Chapter #18, and also belonged to the Women of the Moose. Ann also enjoyed camping, traveling and casinos.
Surviving her at home is her husband, George "Ron" Boggess, whom she married on February 5, 1972.
Also surviving are three daughters, Sherry Halstead and Debbie Rosa, both of East Liverpool, and Pam Barth and her husband, Larry, of Berlin Center, OH, as well as a stepson, "Ronnie" Boggess of Denison, TX.
Eleven grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren also survive, along with two sisters and a brother: Irene Hutchison of East Liverpool, Mossie Hanselman and her husband, Frank, of New Cumberland, WV, and Robert Howard, also of East Liverpool.
In addition to her parents, eight brothers and three sisters also preceded Ann in death.
Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Tuesday, where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. Additional visitation will be held on Wednesday morning, one hour prior to the funeral service.
Services will be held at 11:00 Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. Norm Eckert of the Beechwood Free Methodist Church officiating.
Burial will take place at Columbiana County Memorial Park.
