Beavers beat Wildcats in 3

STRUTHERS- The Beavers caged the Wildcats.

The Beaver Local volleyball team earned a 26-24, 25-13, 25-22, victory Tuesday night at Struthers.

Individually for the Beavers (8-6), Ali Buchheit tallied nine assists, 48 sets, seven points, three aces, three kills and two blocks, Danna Talbott collected 11 points, one ace, 15 digs, five kills, 15 spikes and one block and McKenzie Davis scored two points to go along with one ace, six digs and 10 assists.

Also, Nevada Dobbs delivered 16 kills, 21 spikes, seven blocks, nine digs, seven points and one ace, Sierra Wright contributed three kills, 15 spikes, eight digs, two blocks and two points and Laini Roberts recorded 17 points, two aces and 12 digs.

Beaver Local won the JV match, 25-15, 25-11.

Bobbie Ann Theiss scored seven points, and Jordan Simpson and Sam Kendall each added six points for the Beavers (11-3).

Beaver Local's next match is today at home against Howland.

FRESHMAN

Beavers sweep tri-match

CALCUTTA - The Beaver Local freshman volleyball team swept a tri-mach Wednesday at home against East Liverpool and Crestview.

The Beavers defeated the Potters, 25-21, 4-26, 25-14, and they defeated the Rebels, 25-9, 25-22.

For Beaver Local against East Liverpool, Jordan Simpson delivered three aces, six kills, four spikes, seven points, six digs and two assists, Alex Talbott collected seven kills, 10 spikes, four points, four digs and one assist and Sam Kendall contributed five kills and eight spikes.

Also, Ashlyn Milhoan netted three aces, one kill, 13 points, three digs and six assists, Cassie Pennicuff finished with one ace, two kills, three spikes and two points and Shawna Talbott tallied two aces, four spikes, 12 points, five digs and one assist.

Finally, Breann Jones ended up with one kill and two spikes, Dominica Keller recorded one ace, two points and four digs and Connor McKenzie chipped in with three aces, 10 points and six assists.

Against Crestview, Simpson netted one ace, three points, four kills, two spikes and seven digs, Alex Talbott added one dig and Kendall tallied two aces, five points, two kills, eight spikes and one dig.

Also, Milhoan ended up with one ace, three points, two kills, two spikes, one dig and three assists, Pennifcuff contributed two aces, four points, two kills and two spikes and Shawna Talbott collected eight aces, 10 points, one kill, two spikes and one dig.

Finally, Jones and Keller each delivered one dig, and McKenzie finished with four points, one dig and five assists.

Beaver Local's next match is a tri Saturday at Columbiana. Crestview will also be taking part in the match.

JUNIOR HIGH

Indians sweep Lions

SALINEVILLE - The Indians swept the Lions.

The Southern Local 7th and 8th grade volleyball teams earned wins Tuesday at home over Heartland Christian.

Southern won the 7th grade match, 25-17, 25-10.

For the Indians, Lizzie Willis scored 10 points, and Ally Woodward added eight points.

For the Lions, Alaina Holdren netted four points, and Madison Chapman delivered three points.

Southern won the 8th grade match. 21-25, 25-21, 25-13.

Siera Boyle tallied a match-high 11 points to lead the way for the Indians. Alexis Gross scored 11 points.

Mackenzie House ended up with 10 points for the Lions, and Bonnie Flynn finished with eight points.

Beavers sweep Redskins

CALCUTTA -The Beaver Local 7th and 8th grade volleyball teams earned a sweep Tuesday over Indian Creek.

The Beavers won the 7th grade match, 25-11, 25-8.

For Beaver Local, Carmen Pugliano produced 11 assists, and Jasmin Young scored five points.

Beaver Local won the 8th grade match, 25-18, 27-25.

For the Beavers, Dakota Heaton netted eight kills, and Emily Beck ended up with four points.

Beaver Local's next match is today at Buckeye Local.
