ALLIANCE - Alliance Police arrested five University of Mount Union students on Wednesday after executing a search warrant on a dorm room in McCready Hall located on the campus.

Police conducted a two week investigation into drug sales occurring on the campus with multiple marijuana sales made to confidential informants by a student residing at McCready Hall.

Victor Schade, 18, was charged with trafficking in marijuana a felony four, possession of drug paraphernalia a misdemeanor four, possession of marijuana a minor misdemeanor, and underage possession of alcohol a misdemeanor one. Inside Schade's dorm room, police discovered marijuana packaged for sale, cash, loose marijuana, and alcohol.

A continued investigation led to the search of additional rooms at McCready and Cunningham halls, as well as a student's car. The search discovered additional marijuana packaged for sale, pills, scales, packaging materials and drug paraphernalia.

This search resulted in the arrest of Blake Miller, Travis Infield, Jonathan Delapa and Wyatt Grindley.

Miller, 18, was charged with trafficking in marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana. His roommate, Infield, 19, was charged with a single count of complicity to trafficking in marijuana a felony four. Along with being charged with trafficking in marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana, Delapa, 18, was charged with possession of dangerous drugs a misdemeanor one. The possession of dangerous drugs charge stems from the discovery of diazepam pills found in his possession. All three reside in McCready Hall.

Schade, Miller, Infield and Delapa were taken to Stark County Jail and bond will be determined by the jail. The charges of trafficking and complicity were elevated to fourth degree felonies due to the sales occurring at the university.

Grindley, 18, a Cunningham Hall resident, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana for having marijuana and a marijuana pipe. While being interviewed by police, Grindley became ill and was transported to Alliance Community Hospital where he was given a medical release on the charges. He was treated and released.
