West Branch 51, Alliance 34

BELOIT - West Branch's Brenden Wells returned to the Warriors Friday night against Alliance and made his presence felt finding the end zone four times in a 51-34 Warriors victory.

Wells returned two kickoffs for touchdowns, one 90 yards, the other 70. He also finished with 191 yards on 24 carries and two more scores.

West Branch's Troy James was 7-of-11 for 60 yards and threw a 10-yard touchdown to Matthew Edie. James also ran for 59 yards on 13 carries and added another score. West Branch's Brandon Woolf started the kickoff return parade for the Warriors running back a kick 85 yards to pay-dirt in the first quarter. He nearly did returned a second kick for a score just prior to the half.

Alliance was led by quarterback Kordelle Phillips who was 19-of-28 for 295 yards and two touchdowns.

West Branch (1-3, 1-0 NBC) is back in action next week at Carrollton.

Alliance (0-4, 0-1 NBC) hosts Canton South.

Leetonia 17, Lowellville 10

LOWELLVILLE - Leetonia's Zack Van Giesen plunged into the end zone from a yard out with two seconds remaining Friday to give the Bears a 17-10 win to open league play at Lowellville.

Leetonia came up with four turnovers in the contest. Brandon Dattilio and Dustin Soos had interceptions, and Josh Van Giesen and Nate Inboden both had fumble recoveries.

Leetonia's Trent Ferry was 10-of-16 for 147 yards and a tossed a 37-yard touchdown pass to Zack Van Giesen who finished with 67 yards on three catches and also ran for 41 yards on 14 carries. Josh Van Giesen had 98 yards on four catches.

Leetonia (3-1, 1-0 ITCL Tier 2) travels to Western Reserve next week.

Crestview 57, Lisbon 12

COLUMBIANA - Crestview's Nick Blower returned the opening kick 84 yards for a score and the Rebels never looked back in a 57-12 win over Lisbon.

Blower ended the night rushing with 153 yards on five carries and touchdown runs of 56 and 36 yards.

Matt Hardenbrook scored on a 72-yard fumble recovery return. Colin Gilbert had a 25-yard touchdown run.

Lisbon's Brandon Barnes had 85 yards on 24 carries and a score. Josh Liberati also had a touchdown run for the Blue Devils.

Crestview (4-0, 1-0 ITCL Tier 1) travels to Mineral Ridge next week.

Lisbon (1-3, 0-1 ITCL Tier 1) hosts Jackson-Milton.

Western Reserve 22, McDonald 20

BERLIN CENTER - Western Reserve outlasted McDonald 22-20 Friday.

For Reserve, Tim Cooper had 155 yards on 30 carries and a touchdown. Dan Zilke added 102 yards on 18 carries and two touchdowns.

Reserve (2-2, 1-0 ITCL Tier 2)?hosts Leetonia Friday.

South Range 49,

East Palestine 18

CANFIELD - Robbie Seman had five catches for 189 yards and three scores as South Range dropped East Palestine Friday night 49-18.

Seman's touchdown receptions came on passes of 67, 33 and 71 yards from quarterback Ross Stoffer. Stoffer went 7-of-11 for 213 yards and three scores.

Seman started the scoring with two touchdown grabs in the first quarter from Stoffer.

In the second quarter the Raiders put up 28 points and blew the game wide open. Bryce Allen first found the end zone from seven yards out. South Range added another touchdown when Billy Goodall scored on a 42-yard scamper. Seman added his third touchdown of the night on a 71-yard pass from Stoffer before an Adam Whitmer interception return for a touchdown finished the scoring for the second half.

East Palestine got on the board in the third when Derek Smith plunged in from one yard out. The Bulldogs scored twice in the fourth on runs from Luke Cope and Smith.

South Range (2-2, 1-0 ITCL Tier 1) plays Friday at United.

East Palestine (0-4)?hosts Springfield.
