LISBON - The Lisbon David Anderson High School Athletic Hall of Fame, in its 21st year, will add five more athletes with its 2012 class of inductees:
Michael L. Rutecki (Class of 1968, football) was 3-year year letter winner and the quarterback, tri-captain and all-league selection on the 1967 Tri-County League co-championship team, the last one under legendar coach Bud Bucher. Rutecki also had a 79-yard interception return for a touchdown against Leetonia.
Mikala Pritts (Class of 1994, volleyball and basketball) was a four-year letter winner in volleyball and a three-year letter winner in basketball. In volleyball, she was co-captain her junior and senior seasons and a member of the 1991 TCL championship team that advanced to regionals. She was first-team TCL, All-Columbiana County, All-District and third-team All-Ohio as a senior. In basketball, Pritts was a senior co-captain and played on the 1991-92 TCL and district championship team.
Steve Rodgers (Class of 1997, football) started on the 1995 Division V state championhip team. He had seven catches for 170 yards in the state championship game, which remained a state finals record for many seasons. As a senior Rodgers had a school-record eight interceptions and received the Bud Bucher Award as the team MVP.
Julie M. Rodgers (Class of 1998, volleyball, basketball and track) earned 11 varsity letters while playing in four different sports. In basketball (four letters), she played in 85 consecutive games and won three TCL championships. In volleyball (three letters), she was All-Columbiana County, first-team TCL and second-team district. In track, (three letters), she ran four events and won the 800 meters at the district meet. She also lettered one year in softball.
Stacey (King) DiFiore (Class of 2000, volleyball, basketball and softball) was voted team MVP in all three sports. In volleyball, whe she was first-team TCL, All-Columbiana Country and district as a junior and senior. In basketball, she was first-team TCL, second-team All-Columbiana County and honorable mention All-Northeast Ohio Inland District. In softball, she was first-team TCL as a junior and senior, All-Columbiana County and district as a senior. Rodgers established school records for sets and assists in basketball and free throw percentage and assists in basketball.
Induction ceremonies will be held Saturday, Oct. 6, at the Lisbon David Anderson High School cafeteria. A social hour begins at 5 p.m. with dinner at 6 p.m.
