GREENFORD - The Beavers bounced back.
DeShawn Parker recorded two goals and an assist to lead the Beaver Local boys' soccer team to a 6-2 victory Saturday afternoon at South Range.
With the win, the Bears are now 4-1 on the season.
Also for the Beavers, Austin Taylor recorded two goals, Brian Jackson netted a goal and an assist and Joey Sitarik contributed a goal.
Finally, Garrett Speelman tallied two assists, and Brandon Fetty and Chase Hilliard each delivered an assist.
Logan Andrews made 12 saves in goal. Andrew made four big saves including one on a penalty kick.
"I was a little concerned with how the boys would react after their first loss, but with the score 6-2, they totally forgot about that game," first-year Beaver Local head coach Mike Hilliard said.
Beaver Local's next game is at 7 p.m. Tuesday night at Canfield.
"It is going to be a tough one," Coach Hilliard said. "They have a really good team."
Tyler Consolidated 3, Oak Glen 2
KIDWELL - Oak Glen's Travis Bolner and Joe Doughty each scored goals, but it was not enough as the Tyler Consolidated boys' soccer team came away with a 3-2 victory Saturday over the visiting Golden Bears.
Devin Polen and Justin Bailey tallied assists for Oak Glen (5-4).
Mert Coskun scored two goals for the Silver Knights (4-3).
Dylan Romine recorded a goal and an assist for Tyler.
Oak Glen's next game is at 6 p.m. Thursday at home against Edison.
