Isn't it interesting that Congressman Tim Ryan and Senator Sherrod Brown are going about praising the employment created by VM Star Steel as well as the drilling of the Marcellus Shale when they in fact supported cap and trade legislation that is a detriment to these industries?
I don't see any outrage on their part that Obama stonewalled the Canadian pipeline or that their liberal pals won't allow drilling in Alaska or on public lands.
I would also like to ask Mr. Brown and Mr. Ryan this: If this Affordable Care Act is so wonderful why was Nancy Pelosi accorded plaudits when she contrived to exempt unions in her congressional district from enrolling in it? How can you justify robbing $716 billion from our Medicare to pay for ObamaCare? Where's the outrage from the AARP?
We're told that this stimulus package has been an astounding success. Well, tell that to the Delphi employees and the creditors and bond holders who got stuck when the government bailed out GM and Chrysler. Tell that to all the businesses here in Columbiana County that have folded since Obama was elected. Tell that story to our 26 million who are out of work and the 46 million on food stamps.
Now, don't get me wrong, the stimulus package was a great success for the Obama cronies. Solyndra for example blew $500 million on a solar panels scheme but before it went belly up the employees all lined their pockets. Recently, Obama had a fund-raising event in California and the cost of the dinner was $35,000 a plate. In was loaded with former employees from Solyndra so they must have lined their pockets pretty well.
Is it any wonder that this country is broke?
