NEW MANCHESTER - The Golden Bears split with the Blue Devils.
The Oak Glen girls cross country finished first in dual meet with Burgettstown Tuesday at Tomlinson Run State Park, while the Blue Devils came out on top on the boys' side.
Burgettstown won the boys' meet, 43-21, while the Oak Glen girls finished first with 15 points. Burgettstown did not have a full girls' team compete.
Oak Glen's Kelsey Chambers finished first on the girls' side with a time of 22:34. Teammate Abby Tice placed second with a time of 26:30 and Burgettstown's Cheyenne Black ended up third with a time of 26:49.
Also for the Golden Bears, Casey Baird (27:25) finished fifth, Kayla Swiger (27:58) placed sixth and Kaylee Coble (29:45) finished seventh.
Finally, Natali Ramsey (30:48) finished ninth.
Burgettstown's Marco Bennett finished first on the boys' side to set a new-course record with a time of 18:46. Teammate Luke Bennett placed second with a time of 19:16. Oak Glen's Ethan Malcomb ended up third with a time of 19:36.
Also for the Golden Bears, Skylar Lamp (20:41) finished fourth, Brandon Rhodes (23:13) placed 12th and Myka McGaffic (23:41) finished 13th.
Finally, Rhett Koper (24:05) finished 14th.
Oak Glen is scheduled to compete Saturday at the Brooke Invitational.
