LaCROFT - Police are investigating what they called the "untimely death" of a 40-year-old woman whose body was removed Thursday afternoon from a residence at 513 Densmore Avenue.
Liverpool Township Police Chief Charlie Burgess said Alamae P. Turner Helton was staying with a male friend at the residence when she died suddenly.
The friend, who was not identified, called for an ambulance, and police were notified by the ambulance company.
Burgess called in the Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation (BCII) to photograph and process the scene, which was an apartment just off Lisbon Street.
Burgess was seen carrying a paper bag from the apartment but he said there was little evidence to be collected by BCII.
Helton's body was taken to East Liverpool City Hospital, with an autopsy pending, according to Burgess, who said her family had been notified.
Meanwhile, he had interviewed the man with whom she was staying and others.
No other information was being released Thursday, but when asked, Burgess said no one is in custody or arrested.
