Martin, MacLean, Altmeyer funeral director Matthew Watson spoke about Lincoln's funeral and embalming during the Civil War to a standing room only crowd at the Wellsville River Museum Saturday. Watson also shared the funeral home's antique embalming equipment. The museum is proudly displaying a replica of President Abraham Lincoln's casket as well as a replica of the gun used by John Wilks Booth to kill Lincoln. The celebration of the Civil War Sequicentennial continues from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. today at the Wellsville River Museum featuring the 105th Ohio Volunteer Infantry 66th Ohio Volunteer Infantry Company I. A special presentation on the Emancipation Proclamation by Lincoln scholar Gary Kersey is scheduled for 2 p.m. today.
