EAST LIVERPOOL - George T. Croxall, 92, of Highland Drive, died Friday afternoon August 17, 2012 at his residence following a brief illness.
Mr. Croxall was born in East Liverpool, Ohio on June 22, 1920, a son of the late Harry T. and Marie Elizabeth Burgess Croxall.
A lifetime area resident, Mr. Croxall retired from the former Crucible Steel Co. where he had worked as an office clerk in the hot strip.
He was a veteran of WWII serving with US Army in England and was a member of the 1st Church of Christ Disciples.
He was a lifetime member of Elks Lodge 258.
Preceding him in death on February 9, 2010 was his wife, whom he married June 22, 1945, Nedra Alvera Croxall.
Also preceding him death were two brothers, Edward T. "Ted" Croxall and Harry "Cheese" Croxall.
Survivors include a daughter, Deborah Dunn and her husband, Richard of East Liverpool, Ohio along with two grandchildren, Miss Jackson and her husband, Skip and Matthew Dunn and his fiancee, Sarah Peters.
Four great children survive as well, Beth Roberts and her husband, Adam, Renee Jackson, Brian Jackson and Maycie Dunn.
Services are planned for 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Dawson Funeral Home with Pastor Norm Eckert of Beechwood Free Methodist Church officiating. Friends may visit Sunday at the funeral home where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
Military honors will be provided by the Tri-State Veterans Burial Group.
Burial will take place in Columbiana County Memorial Park.
Family and friends will gather at the Dawson Family Center following the services.
