LISBON - Lisbon-Judd W. Kemats, 50, of Black Rd., passed away unexpectedly at 11:08am, Wednesday, August 01, 2012 at the Salem Community Hospital following a recent illness.
Mr. Kemats was born December 1, 1961 in Salem, a son of the late Elsie (Donnalley) Kemats and John M. Kemats, Sr. of Lisbon.
Judd was a 1980 graduate and valedictorian of Lisbon David Anderson High School. He furthered his education by earning a B.S. degree in Geology from Mount Union College in 1984. Mr. Kemats owned and operated the Polaris Earth Management Company in Lisbon.
In addition to his father, Judd is survived by his wife, Melissa "Missy" (Dixon) Kemats, whom he married October 12, 1985; daughter, Kayla Kemats of Lisbon; son, Kyle Kemats of Lisbon; brothers, John (Joanie) Kemats, Jr. and Terry (Kathy) Kemats, both of Lisbon; and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Kemats was also preceded in death by his brothers, Kevin and David Kemats.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, August 4, 2012 at the New Lisbon Presbyterian Church, 111 East Chestnut Street, with the Rev. Mark R. Wilds officiating. Burial will follow in the Lisbon Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6pm to 8pm Friday at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home and from 10am until the time of services at the church on Saturday.
