EAST PALESTINE - James W. Guy, Sr., 77, of West Clark Street, passed away at 2:53 p.m. Friday at the Adkins Nursing Home, East Liverpool, where he had been a patient.
Mr. Guy was born August 30, 1934 in Negley, a son of the late William Lewis and Gladys Coaley Guy, and was a lifetime resident of the area. He had been employed at the former Darlington Brick Co., for fifty-five years, retiring as a high lift operator.
He is survived by his wife, the former Mildred Rader; two sons, James W. (Rhonda) Guy, Jr., Calcutta, and Ricky Allen (Janet) Guy, Salem; as well as a daughter, Barbara (Hubert) Kovalesky, Midland, PA. He also leaves a sister, Mary (Syl) Hartzog, Tennessee; eleven grandchildren, and fifteen great grandchildren.
A daughter, Cindy Lorey, and a brother, William Guy, preceded him in death.
Per Jim's request, there will be no public services. Burial will be in Crest Haven Memorial Gardens, New Waterford. Arrangements were with the Oliver-Linsley Funeral Home.
