NEW WATERFORD - Gregory C. Fye, 59, of Court Street, passed away at 4:30 a.m. Thursday, July 26, 2012, at his residence following a five-month illness.
Greg was born August 12, 1952 in Youngstown, a son of Jacqueline C. Faux Fye and the late John S. Fye, Jr., and had resided in New Waterford since 1994, coming from Poland. He had been employed as a draftsman and production supervisor with J-N Products International, North Lima, prior to his illness.
He was a member of Youngstown Rod and Custom Club as well as Vintage Street Rodders of America.
In addition to his mother of Boardman, he is survived by his wife, the former Wanda Willoughby, whom he married July 19, 1997. Greg also leaves two sons, Christopher N. (Jennifer) Fye, Ohio, Jacob G. (Lisa) Sandy, New Waterford; a daughter, Mistee C. (Steve) Budrovic, Illinois; a sister, Cathy L. Cervone, Boardman; six grandchildren and three nieces.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, July 30, at Oliver-Linsley Funeral home, East Palestine, with Rev. Ash Welch of Boardman United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in New Waterford Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 5-7 p.m.,and for one hour prior to the time of service.
