HANOVERTON - David H. and Anne E. Freshly, Alliance, celebrated their 50th anniversary at the Spread Eagle Tavern and with a family cruise to the Caribbean earlier this year.
The former Anne E. Speidel married David H. Freshly on June 9, 1962, at the Hanoverton Presbyterian Church. The Reverend John P. Borter performed the ceremony.
Mr. Freshley retired from the University of Mount Union where he worked as director of human resources and business operations.

Mrs. Freshley retired from the University of Mount Union as associate director of admission.
They are currently members of Union Avenue United Methodist Church in Alliance.
They have three children, Thomas D. (Paula) Freshly, Parkman; Timothy D. (Bonnie) Freshly, Cranberry, Pa.; and Lisa A. Freshly, Columbus; and three grandsons.
