COLUMBIANA - S. JoAnne Bartholow, 76, of Wind Rose Court, passed away 3:25pm, Monday, July 23, 2012 at Cleveland University Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Ms. Bartholow was born January 26, 1936 in Salineville, a daughter of the late Leo Mapel and Ethel (Allison) Mapel Van Horn.
A homemaker, JoAnne enjoyed scrapbooking, gardening and was active with the Relay for Life. She also loved the Thursday night gatherings with her sisters.
She is survived by her daughters, Cody (Dwayne) Hill of Salem, Kelly (Dan) Komo of Dunellon, Florida, Christy (Mark) Pastircak of Kensington, and Cindy McHugh and her fiance, Darryl Davis of Rogers; son, Kit (Linda) Bartholow of Mesa, Arizona; sisters, Patsy "Cookie" (Benny) Gonzalez of New Waterford, Ikey Van Horn of Unity, and Ellen (Randal) Taylor of Columbiana; brothers, Herbert (Dawn) Van Horn of Lancaster, Ohio, Tim (Ruth) VanHorn of Columbiana, and Tom (Betty) Van Horn of Salem; grandchildren, Brent Slider, Haley Zehentbauer, and Devan Pastircak; great grandson, Kaiden Slider; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her former husband, Donald Bartholow.
Following her wishes, no calling hours or funeral services will be observed.
The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to Relay for Life or to the American Heart Association.
