COLUMBIANA - Bob and Barbara Witmer, Columbiana, will be honored for their 50th anniversary with an open house, hosted by their family, from 3-5 p.m. July 29 at the home of their granddaughter, 14340 Green Beaver Road.
The former Barbara Helmuth, daughter of Alvin and Elsie Helmuth, married Bob Witmer, son of Paul and LaRue Witmer, on Dec. 28, 1962.
Mr. Witmer is a retired farmer, John Deere dealer, educator, teacher and administrator.

Mrs. Witmer is a retired educator and teacher.
They are both active members of Greenford Christian Church.
The couple has four children, Mark (Linda) Witmer, Beth (Steve) Martin, all of South Carolina; Jon (Michele) Witmer, Venetia, Pa.; Mike Witmer, Columbiana; and 11 grandchildren.
