HANOVERTON - Wayne F. Binsley, 75, of State Route 518, passed away peacefully at 11:28 p.m., Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Binsley was born February 3, 1937 in Hanoverton, a son of the late Floyd and Mary (Rice) Binsley, and had lived his entire life in the area.
A 1955 graduate of Lisbon David Anderson High School, Wayne worked as a machinist in several local machine shops, retiring from Hall Machine in Carrollton.
He was a member of Bethesda Presbyterian Church and he loved the outdoors and farming.
Mr. Binsley also served our country as a member of the United States Army, serving during peacetime.
He is survived by his wife, Karen (Prasco) Binsley, whom he married August 26, 1990; daughter, Janet Haifley of Hanoverton; son, Eric (Jeanne) Binsley of Bolivar, Ohio; grandchildren, Lauren (Bryan) Taylor of Winona, Kristen Haifley of Columbus, Alyssa Binsley of Cleveland, Scott (Jennifer) Binsley and Brian Binsley, both of Bolivar; great granddaughter, Ashlee Binsley of Bolivar; stepchildren, Lori Sweeney of Columbiana, Doug (Cassie) Koffel of Lisbon, step grandchildren, Craig and Adam Sweeney of Columbus, Brandon and Matthew Koffel of Lisbon, and Lindsey, Carlie, and Chad Bosel, all of Lisbon; and six nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his first wife, Edith (King) Binsley, and brother, Gail Binsley.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 23, 2012 at Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Allmon officiating. Burial will follow in Grove Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
