About 20 firefighters from the North Georgetown, Damascus and Homeworth departments extinguished a blaze in a detached garage at the home of Rick and Sue Caufield, 4668 Rochester Road. Firefighters were able to keep the fire from spreading to the home, which sustained a broken window and siding damage from the intense heat. The family's business, Shady Top Primitives and Gardens, also was spared.
