I am writing to express my disappointment in East Liverpool canceling the farmer's market. It would have brought people downtown and given people who may not have a yard to grow produce a chance to get some.
Even after reading the articles about the market, I am still not sure I understand exactly what happened.
It seems East Liverpool has complicated what could have been easy. Other towns in our area have markets. Maybe East Liverpool should contact some of them to see how to set it up.
As far as selling eggs and baked goods, I have a thought. If someone wants to sell a product and another person wants to but it -and it's not illegal - then why not? Maybe it's too simplistic, but I hope the city will look again into having a farmer's market.
